Hello, my name is Brett Smith, the man behind the merchandise.   I got my start in leatherwork, at a western theme park, watching the leather craftsman at work. I decided, “I could do that."

I purchased a couple of “how to” books, and collection books like Packing Iron and Cowboys and Trappings of the Old West . Then, I taught myself to make what I saw.

Along the way I picked up some good advice from other craftsmen that I met and attended a “Bill Gomer” Saddlemaking Class in Texas.  

I am a detail oriented person with a love of traditional hand-crafted leatherwork built to last a lifetime.   Custom work is my specialty and I enjoy working with people to help them realize their dreams.
